The Valley recently celebrated its first-ever Navy Week! It was an honor to welcome Navy Sailors to South Texas as they shared the Navy’s mission to protect our nation’s security and ensure prosperity.

I was honored to join the City of Edinburg for the Proclamation Ceremony & Bienvenida to personally thank these brave men and women for their selfless service. May God bless our troops!

My office was excited to join the City of Palmview for the groundbreaking ceremony of their future fire station and Emergency Operations Center!

I was honored to recognize WWII Veteran Mr. Francisco Ybanez, whose life reflects extraordinary service and sacrifice for our nation. Mr. Ybanez’s legacy continues to inspire generations as he now celebrates nearly 103 years surrounded by his family in Alice, Texas. Thank you for your service and dedication to South Texas!

It was great to visit Edelen Farms in Alice with owners Andrew and Kaylyn Edelen! We discussed efforts to support small, family-owned farming operations, so they can continue to do what they do best to provide healthy, locally grown food for our community and keep Texas ag strong.

Their commitment to farming and family tradition truly make this farm a South Texas gem!

Congratulations to George West Primary for earning their third National Blue Ribbon and their first Lone Star Ribbon Award! These honors reflect the hard work and dedication of the teachers and staff who help every student reach their full potential. I’m proud to support initiatives that give our educators the tools they need to succeed.

In support of our ongoing efforts to support small businesses, my district team joined the City of Edinburg and the Edinburg Chamber of Commerce for the ribbon cutting ceremony of Sane Pilates Studio! 

I am excited to share that the SPEAK ACT of 2025 is a part of our government funding package. After passing the Senate, it nownow comes back to the House for consideration this week.

Ensuring that all Americans have access to quality healthcare is one of my top priorities in Congress. The bipartisan SPEAK Act will determine best practices to help facilitate communication between provider and patient to expand quality health care options for millions of Americans.
