Congresswoman Monica De La Cruz (TX-15) was recently appointed to the U.S.-Mexico Interparliamentary Groupby House Speaker Kevin McCarthy.

The U.S.-Mexico Interparliamentary Group brings Members of Congress from both countries together to work on issues like immigration, security, and trade. It continues to build the foundation of the special relationship between these nations.

“Representing a border community, I see my constituents directly impacted daily by international trade, the border crisis, and security,” Rep. De La Cruz said. “Each day, I go to work for the people of TX-15. I am proud to have been selected for this important role to serve as a representative of the Rio Grande Valley by Speaker McCarthy. I thank him for the opportunity to work with my colleagues on these important issues on both sides of the border. I will use my background as a small business owner and the granddaughter of immigrants to inform my work with the U.S.-Mexico Interparliamentary Group.”

Congresswoman Monica De La Cruz serves on the House Committees on Agriculture and Financial Services. She is the vice chair of the Subcommittee on Housing and Insurance and the Congressional Women’s Caucus.

La congresista Mónica De La Cruz (TX-15) fue nombrada recientemente integrante del Grupo Interparlamentario México-Estados Unidos por el Presidente de la Cámara de Representantes Kevin McCarthy.

El Grupo Interparlamentario México-Estados Unidos reúne a miembros del Congreso de ambos países para abordar temas como inmigración, seguridad y comercio. El grupo continuara fortaleciendo la relación especial entre estas naciones.

"Como representante de una comunidad fronteriza, veo a mi comunidad directamente afectada a diario por el comercio internacional, la crisis fronteriza y la seguridad," dijo la representante De La Cruz. "Cada día, voy a trabajar para la gente del sur de Texas.
