Congresswoman Monica De La Cruz (TX-15) issued the following statement Saturday on the failure of the End the Border Catastrophe Act:

"The failed vote today on the End the Border Catastrophe Act puts politics above the safety and security of Americans. In communities across the Southern Border, we’ve seen the catastrophe the Biden Administration’s failed border policies have created. From cartels trafficking drugs across our border to the overwhelming number of illegal immigrants crossing into our communities, it is clear the current Administration’s policies don’t work. The End the Border Catastrophe Act was a step in the right direction that would have turned the tide on the border crisis and signaled to the American people, the Mexican cartels, and people seeking to enter our nation that our borders were no longer wide open."
