Congresswoman Monica De La Cruz (TX-15) voted Thursday for H.R. 4366, the Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, which provides essential funding for our military and veterans.

"I was proud to vote in favor of this bill, which is a crucial step towards providing comprehensive and compassionate healthcare to those who selflessly served our nation," said Congresswoman De La Cruz. "This bill also redirects wasteful government spending towards projects that provide support for military personnel in the Department of Defense and related agencies. I encourage my colleagues in the Senate to rally in support of this vital piece of legislation that puts the needs of veterans above party politics."

The bill passed the House of Representatives on Thursday and will now proceed to the Senate for further consideration.

Key provisions of the bill include:

  • $317.4 billion for the Department of Veterans Affairs, military construction, and veteran family housing.
  • 2.3% increase in funding over FY23 for veterans’ programs and health care.
  • $17.474 billion for Department of Defense military construction and family housing.
