WASHINGTON - Ahead of the government funding deadline on September 30th, Congresswoman Monica De La Cruz (R-TX) introduced the Pay Our Border Patrol and Customs Agents Act. This critical legislation will ensure U.S. Border Patrol Agents and Office of Field Operations Officers continue to be paid during a potential government shutdown in FY2026.
The legislation is co-sponsored by Reps. Claudia Tenney (NY-24), Derrick Van Orden (WI-03), Jimmy Patronis (FL-01), Russell Fry (SC-07), and Ashley Hinson (IA-02). “The Pay Our Border Patrol and Customs Agents Act is vital to ensuring our dedicated Border Patrol Agents continue to be paid regardless of a government shutdown.
