Congresswoman Monica De La Cruz (TX-15) issued the following statement in response to President Joe Biden’s speech on the economy earlier today in Lanham, Maryland:

“The President just doesn't get it,” De La Cruz said. “You can't impose regulations, limit trade, cut energy production, spend recklessly, and tax your way to a strong economy. Americans cannot afford rising costs for which he is responsible. A report released this week said prices were rising three times faster than before the pandemic. Coupled with 81,000 people laid off in January, it's clear the President's plan isn’t working."
