More than $25 million will come home to the 15th Congressional District soon following passage of the 2024 Consolidated Appropriations Act last week. The House and Senate last week passed the legislation, which was signed into law by the president on March 9th. Projects across TX-15 are funded by this legislation, including $7.4 million in terminal improvements at McAllen International Airport. “As your Congresswoman, it's my duty to ensure that the hard-earned tax dollars of TX-15 residents come back to our community where they can make a tangible difference in improving our infrastructure, public safety, and quality of life,” De La Cruz said. “The $25 million allocated through the 2024 Consolidated Appropriations Act signifies more than just numbers on paper; it represents progress, opportunity, and investment in our future. From bolstering public safety initiatives, improving our water treatment and storage facilities, enhancing the McAllen airport terminal, and supporting vital community projects, these funds will directly benefit the people of TX-15. It's not just about bringing money back; it's about building a stronger, more resilient district where every resident has the opportunity to thrive.” Complete list of projects funded by the 2024 Consolidated Appropriations Act:
